Advertising and partnerships

A transparent framework for commercial messages around an independent editorial resource.

1. Purpose

This page explains how Nymera may display advertising, sponsorship, or partnership information in 2026. Commercial activity supports publication costs but does not change our responsibility to readers. Advertising is not a substitute for evidence. As of 5 October 2026, Nymera carries no paid display advertising, no affiliate links and no active sponsorship or partnership arrangements, and no advertising-network scripts are loaded on any page. If any of these formats is introduced later, it will be labelled on the page where it appears and recorded in the revision log below. The page exists so that readers understand the rules before any commercial message appears. Revenue is intended to cover costs such as hosting, research access, and contributor fees, rather than to shape what is published. This policy applies equally to every advertiser, sponsor, or partner. No commercial relationship is described as active on this page unless it is, and where none is active we say so. Past relationships that have ended are kept in the record for 24 months. The policy covers display advertising, sponsored sections, affiliate links, partnerships, and any similar arrangement, whatever its format. It applies to the website and to any newsletter or social channel operated by Nymera, if such channels exist.

2. Clear labels

Paid content, sponsored sections, affiliate links, and display advertising are labeled so readers can distinguish them from journalism. Labels should appear near the message rather than hidden in a general footer. If a label becomes unclear, contact the desk. A label might read "Advertisement", "Sponsored content", or "Affiliate link", and it appears above or beside the message in a legible size and colour. Sponsored sections use a visually distinct container, and the sponsor is named. Labels are not removed from archived pages. If a label is missing or ambiguous, readers can tell us and we will correct it, usually within three working days. Labels use plain words and are not reduced to symbols alone. On small screens the label is kept with the message rather than moved to a distant position. A banner is separated from the article text by space and a border. Sponsored sections are not mixed into the running order of regular articles. A reader who is unsure whether something is paid can ask the desk, and we will confirm in writing.

3. Editorial independence

Advertisers cannot buy favorable coverage, a guaranteed position, or the removal of a correction. Editors retain control over headlines, claims, and publication decisions. A partner may review factual statements about its own organization without controlling independent analysis. For example, an advertiser cannot ask to read an article before publication, request that a critical passage be removed, or ask for a link placement in a ranking. Corrections remain on the page whatever the commercial relationship. If a sponsor reviews a factual statement about itself, the review is limited to accuracy, and the reviewer is told that the editor makes the final decision. We keep a record of such reviews in the editorial file. Editors are not given advertising performance data when deciding what to cover. If a sponsor withdraws, the editorial plan does not change. Advertisers are told these rules in the agreement, and an attempt to influence coverage is grounds for ending the relationship. Sponsorship is disclosed even when the sponsor has no say in the content. We do not accept payment for a link placed inside the body text of an article unless it is labelled.

4. Restricted claims

Nymera does not accept claims promising cures, guaranteed fitness outcomes, rapid body transformation, or replacement of professional care. We avoid misleading before-and-after material and pressure-based language. Health-related products require especially careful substantiation. Examples of claims we do not accept include statements that a product addresses a medical condition, that results will be achieved by a certain date, that a person can transform their body in a short period, or that a product replaces medical advice. We also decline messages that use fear of ageing, shame about appearance, or invented scarcity. Categories that are restricted by law or by major advertising platforms are not accepted, and supplements marketed with health claims are excluded. Any other health-related product requires documentation from the advertiser before we consider it, and we may remove a message that does not meet our standards. Before a health-related message is displayed, the advertiser is asked who it is aimed at, what it says, and what supports it. Evidence offered is checked for its source and date, and anecdotes are not treated as evidence. Messages that imitate editorial style or the look of a medical warning are rejected. Claims that a product reverses ageing are not accepted, and neither are financial promises such as claims of income. Messages that rely on a before-and-after pairing, exaggerated testimonials, or invented reviews are declined.

5. Audience safety

We do not knowingly target children or use sensitive health information to personalize advertising. Commercial messages should be appropriate for an adult readership and should not exploit anxiety about age, appearance, or medical uncertainty. We may reject an otherwise lawful campaign on editorial grounds. Our readership is adults, and creative material should not be designed to appeal primarily to children. We do not allow advertisers to target readers on the basis of health conditions, sensitive characteristics, or inferred vulnerabilities. Targeting, where enabled, is limited to broad contextual categories such as article topic or country. We review commercial material before it appears, and may remove it afterwards if it generates valid complaints. The review checks the text, the images, and the page a message leads to, because a landing page can contradict an advertisement. Imagery that promotes unrealistic body ideals is not accepted. Material in categories that are age-restricted or heavily regulated is not accepted. Readers can report a message they find inappropriate using the contact details in section 9. Reports about messages that may appeal to minors are given priority and answered within three working days.

6. Data and cookies

Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technology only where legally permitted and where the site’s choice controls allow it. Details about optional cookies and retention appear in cookies.php. Nymera does not sell its contact list to advertisers. Where advertising cookies are used, they are optional, set only after acceptance of optional cookies, and subject to the lifespans described in the cookie policy. If you reject optional cookies, any advertising shown should be contextual and not based on your browsing history. Advertisers do not receive readers' names, email addresses, or contact messages. Any data-sharing arrangement with an advertising provider is covered by a written agreement that limits use and requires security measures. This section should be read with privacy.php. Data protection roles are defined in each agreement: Nymera decides what is collected for the site, and the provider acts only on documented instructions. Contextual advertising, where used, selects a message on the basis of the page being read and not on a profile of the reader. Retention of advertising cookies does not exceed the periods listed in cookies.php. Readers have the rights described in privacy.php, including access, correction, and deletion, which can be exercised through contact.php. Transfers of data outside Indonesia are subject to the safeguards described in that policy.

7. Partnerships

Educational partnerships may involve access to experts, venues, or research materials. Such support is disclosed where it could influence reader interpretation. Partnership status does not make an organization a medical authority or imply endorsement of every statement it makes. Typical forms of partnership include an interview with a researcher, access to a training venue for photography, or a joint educational event. The agreement states what each party will provide, what the partner can review, and what remains under editorial control. Where a partnership might affect how readers interpret an article, we disclose it near the top. The partner's logo is used only to identify its role, and it does not suggest endorsement by Nymera of a product or service. Partnership agreements are written, and the editor receives a copy. Partners cannot use the Nymera name in promotion without written permission, and permission is limited to describing the factual relationship. A partnership may end at any time if it conflicts with this policy. Where a partner provides data or images, the source is credited. Disclosure wording follows the same format each time so that readers can recognise it.

8. Affiliate relationships

If Nymera ever receives a commission from a link, the relationship will be labeled before a reasonable reader makes a decision. Commission does not change the price or guarantee suitability. Readers should compare products and seek advice when relevant. An example label would read "This page includes links for which Nymera may receive a commission". Commissions are not paid by readers, and the price you pay does not change. We do not choose a product because of its commission, and we do not mention a product that is not relevant to the subject. Where a sponsor or affiliate relationship ends, older labelled pages keep their labels. Affiliate links are limited to non-medical items such as books or general equipment, and we do not link to supplements. Commission income, if any, is recorded by month so that the editor can see whether it is influencing coverage. Affiliate links are checked every quarter, and expired links are removed. A link to an online retailer does not imply endorsement of the retailer's other products or practices. Readers are not asked to enter personal details on Nymera in order to follow an affiliate link, and any purchase is subject to the terms of the retailer.

9. Complaints

Send concerns about a commercial message, labeling, or a potentially misleading claim to contact.php or +62 878 9652 1437. Include the page, date, and wording. We will review the issue and may pause or amend a message while investigating. We acknowledge complaints within seven days and aim to give a written answer within 14 days. During an investigation, we may pause the message, request evidence from the advertiser, and consult the editor. If a message is found to be misleading, we remove or amend it and note the outcome. You may also raise concerns with the relevant Indonesian advertising or consumer authority, or with the advertising platform that serves the message. Complaints can be made by any reader and do not need to show a loss. A complaint is recorded with a reference, the date, and the page concerned, and we give you the reference so that you can follow up. If an advertiser disputes a decision to remove a message, the editor's decision stands, and the dispute does not delay removal. Complaints about personal data are handled under privacy.php. If you contact us by telephone, we may ask you to confirm the details in writing so that the record is accurate.

10. Current record

This policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026 at Jl. Gatot Subroto Kav. 36, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta 12950, Indonesia. Future changes will be dated. The editorial policy remains applicable to all sponsored or commercial relationships. Revision log: 5 October 2026 - expanded descriptions of labels, independence, restricted claims, audience safety, data use, affiliate relationships, and the complaint procedure; 12 January 2026 - first publication of the advertising policy. The record of commercial relationships is reviewed at least twice a year. Questions can be sent through contact.php or by telephone to +62 878 9652 1437. The record lists, for each active commercial arrangement, the type, the start date, the label used, and the person responsible for the review. Where no arrangement is active, the record states that fact with its date. Earlier versions of this policy are retained, and a reader may ask for a copy. A new policy is not applied retroactively to remove labels from older pages. Changes that reduce reader protections are not made without a public note on this page.
